Halloween 2012

The kids enjoyed their apple fangs for part of their Halloween lunch. So much so, Garrett attempted his own rendition to take to Theron's office. I didn't get a photo of them, but they were basically a handful of marshmallows smashed to the bottom of a whole apple.

 

 

We stopped by the office to see dad finishing up work.

Katelyn LOVED trick-or-treating! She insisted on walking herself so she didn't make it very far. When we came home to man the doors, she wanted to go back out with the kids soo bad! But, she was happy to play in the candy bowl.

And she was LOVED watching for trick-or-treaters and answering the door. Unfortunately, for some reason all the kids vanished the last 45 minutes of trick-or-treat time so we only had two or three groups once we got home. I have no idea where all the kids went but we ended up with WAY too much candy left.

Fall

 

Garrett has been planning on being a Skeleton for Halloween for the past month. And he's been practicing scaring people...but, then he found this in the basement. Score! Here he is practicing his best "RRrrrrr".

 

Katelyn is finally walking! Sunday, Sept 30th we got home from church and she finally decided she was ready. It was a beautiful day and the kids wanted to walk with Katelyn. She was thrilled to have helpers

Nailpolish

Oh, you never know what this kid is going to do next. We had a nailpolish disaster a few weeks ago. Here is some of the proof. I didn't bother to take  pictures of the mess he made in his room all over the carpet, the wall, the mirror and his chair. He did know where the polish was SUPPOSE to go but chose to go a little further. He did a good job on his left side, so I guess we can guess from this art project that he's probably Right handed :)

Pinewood Derby

Karsten had his first Pinewwod Derby race this weekend. He named his car the Golden Nugget. He ended up racing against only one car and beat him all four times. He didn't place in his Den, but that's ok-he was happy since he at least beat the guy he raced against (although I felt bad for his buddy). Garrett was dying to play with his car. When we got home, he gave it to Katelyn instead...shh, I don't think Garrett knows of it's fate, yet :)

I went to check on Katelyn the other day when she was napping. Look at this crazy girl sleeping! I had to snap a photo. She recently figured out how to push herself up to sitting from laying on her tummy. She's been practicing everytime we put her down for bed now :)
