All about Garrett
One of my favorite things to do...So now I look for the toothpaste before sticking my hands and toys in the toilet (that makes my mom happy and my dad proud).

More funnies
The kids keep saying the funniest things. So, for some reason most of them have to do with body parts or bodily functions. Sorry, but I have to document for those days I need a good laugh. This one is out of the mouth of little Morgan yet again ....
Yesterday we got an envelope in the mail from Disney (trying to get us to sign up for their movie club)-- It was junk, of course, so Karsten and Morgan opened it and inside was a sheet of disney stickers that were printed just for us that said "This Movie belongs to the Waisath family."
ME: "Morgan, you should save some stickers to put on our Movies."
MORGAN: "On my boobies? Ok." And she proceeded to pull up her shirt and stick them smack on her boobies.
Sometimes she does listen quite well, at least :)

Back to School
Let's just say I'm way behind. These house project have put me behind on just about everything! School started for Karsten a few weeks ago. He started first grade and was a little hesitant because he was going to be gone for soo long each day! Kindergarten was only half day if you can even call it that. He was home by 11:15. Now, he doesn't get home until 3:45pm! The first week he was exhausted, but I think he's in his groove now. He loves his teacher and has enjoyed meeting new friends and seeing his friends from last year. I don't get a whole lot of details about his day-he runs in the house to tell me who he's planning to play with after school. He and his buddies plan their afternoon while they ride home on the bus. But, the first day of school I was able to get the following details out of him: He got off the bus and someone escorted him to class (his bus was really late that day, so I asked him if he was late for school). He said there were a lot of kids in his class but he wasn't late. He said Miss Ward (his teacher) wore a purple tie around her neck (I'm assuming she was wearing a scarf?). They practiced lining up quietly, Miss Ward showed them where the bathrooms and cafeteria were. They had recess and he saw a lot of his friends from Mrs Myers class (his Kindergarden class). That excited him. He said hi to Quinn (from Kindergarden). They went back to class and sat on the carpet and told Miss Ward if they were riding the bus or getting picked up. They only had class for about 2 hours the first day so that is probably about all they did!
So far he has enjoyed 1st grade. He has music, PE and art class each week. He gets to go to the library on Wednesdays. He has figured out where the lego section is and has picked out lego books every week. He goes to bed reading them and playing with his lego men every night. I think it actually keeps him up late as he's had a hard time waking up on his own lately.
Morgan started school too! This was her first week of Preschool. Tuesday I went with her to get her acquainted with her school, new friends and her teachers. She had a great time. Today was the first day she would go on her own. She was very hesitant to go without me. Luckily, we drive up and the teachers come get the kids from the car and walk them down to the classroom. That saved me. She walked in and I told her I would be back shortly (which was true-class was only an hour today and it took them 15 minutes to get the kids from the cars :). I came back and she had a huge smile on her face. She had a great time! Her buddy, Seth, from her church class is in her preschool class so that has made it an easier transition for her.
So, it's Garrett and I home for a few hours in the morning together. He'll keep me busy, I'm sure. Today all I had time to do was practice the piano before we had to run back to get Morgan. We'll see what I can accomplish with one on one G-man time :)
We are looking forward to another great school year!
